CL to play a killer in upcoming film

Rapper CL will kick off her acting career with a role on the upcoming Hollywood film “Mile 22.”

The action film is about an American CIA agent working with a tactical command unit to take down an international crime syndicate. CL will be playing the role of a killer named Queen for the organization Overwatch, which is a team of killers who work for the CIA.

The movie is directed by Peter Berg, the director behind films such as “Deepwater Horizon” and “Patriots Day.” The upcoming film will star actors Mark Wahlberg, Lauren Cohan, John Malkovich and many more.

CL finished shooting the movie in January, and the film is expected to hit theaters in August.

The singer debuted in 2009 as part of YG Entertainment’s girl group 2NE1, and started a solo career in America after the group disbanded in 2016. CL made a name for herself in America the same year when she released her single “Lifted,” which appeared on Billboard’s Social 50 Chart.
