H.O.T. will return to stage at October concert

One of the most popular boy bands from the ’90s, H.O.T. has announced that they will be holding a concert for fans in October.

The performance will be H.O.T.’s first concert since the group disbanded in 2001.

According to the concert organizer PRM, “H.O.T. has been receiving many request from fans since they performed on the [special episode series] ‘Totoga,’ [an acronym for ‘Saturday Saturday is a Singer’] of the MBC reality show ‘Infinite Challenge’ in February.” They added, “The members then decided to come together to prepare a concert for their fans.”

H.O.T. debuted in 1996, and is made up of five members - Moon Hee-joon, Kangta, Jang Woo-hyuk, Tony An and Lee Jae-won. The group topped the charts in the ’90s with their hugely popular hits such as “Candy” (1996), “We are the Future” (1997), “Happiness” (1997) and more.

Since the group broke up in 2001, the members have remained active in the entertainment industry. Moon has hosted a number of television shows such as Channel A’s variety show “Singderella” and JTBC’s “Sing For You.” Both Tony An and Kangta have appeared on both TV programs and released music, and Jang has his own YouTube channel called “Video XXXV.” Lee has not been as active in the industry as the other members, but he has pursued a career as a DJ.
