[VIDEO NEWS] Indonesian President Joko Widodo gets a tour of Changdeok Palace in Seoul

테스트

1) South Korea held a welcoming ceremony on Sept. 10 for the Indonesian President Joko Widodo at Changdeok Palace, which was built during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), in central Seoul.

2) This is the first time that a welcoming ceremony has taken place in a palace for a summit with another country since Korea became independent from Japanese colonization.

3) Blue House spokesperson Kim Eui-kyeom said that the Changdeok Palace was chosen not only to promote Korea’s traditional culture and history but also to show President Widodo a place that rivals the Bogor Palace in Indonesia.

4) After being escorted by honor guards and military bands, the presidents and first ladies of Korea and Indonesia sat in front of Injeongjeon, a hall for events, and watched a Gainjeonmokdan performance (a court dance depicting beautiful women picking peonies).

5) After watching the dance, the two summits went into Yeonghwadang, a hall inside Changdeok Palace, with an electric cart.

6) In Yeonghwadang, the Indonesian president and Indonesian first lady were explained about the significance of cultural heritages in the palace, such as Buyongji pond and Juhapnu hall, over snacks and tea.
