Asiana resumes some flights to storm-hit Osaka airport
Asiana Airlines said Thursday it will partially resume flights to Osaka, Japan’s second-largest city, this week.South Korea’s second-biggest full-service carrier said three flights - two from Incheon and one from Gimpo - are set to arrive at Terminal 1 at Kansai International Airport on Friday.
The move came as the Japanese airport plans to partially resume international flights at Terminal 1 that day. The airport authority has also partially reopened Terminal 2.
The airport - about 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the center of Osaka - was closed after being hit hard by Typhoon Jebi.
Asiana Airlines offered 12 daily flights to Osaka before the airport was closed.
