Mercedes-Benz Korea said Monday that it is launching a charity cycling event called Give ‘N Bike after the positive response it received from its charity marathon event Give ‘N Race.

The Korean unit of the German premium automaker will hold the event at its AMG Speedway in Yongin, Gyeonggi on Oct. 20.

There will be three parts: individual races, a group race and a non-competitive parade. Participants can choose between racing and mountain bicycles, although the group race will only use racing bikes.

The entry fee for individual races is 100,000 won ($88.74) and for the group race, 50,000 won per person. To participate in the non-competitive parade, the fee is 50,000 won and spectators will have to pay 20,000 won.

The fee and on-site donations will be used in the “Love Child” campaign, which helps underprivileged children with medical care. That campaign is organized by the Kids & Future Foundation.

A total of 1,600 people can participate and they will be selected on a first-come-first-served basis starting today.

Mercedes-Benz Korea’s Give ‘N Race marathon charity event started last year. Some 22,000 people participated and 1.2 billion won was raised.

The company said the biking event is expected to be run annually.
