Singer Sunye is pregnant with her third child

She may be coming back to the entertainment industry for the first time in five years, but that doesn’t mean that Sunye will stop taking her responsibility as a mother seriously. In fact, the 29-year-old will be welcoming another child into her family.

Sunye, member of the disbanded girl group Wonder Girls, is pregnant with her third child, announced Polaris Entertainment on Friday.

“Both Sunye and the baby are healthy, and she is expecting [the child] in January,” said the agency.

With a third child on the way, some people are wondering if it’s possible for Sunye to pursue a busy career, as she signed a contract with a new agency last month.

Regarding concerns that it seems somewhat irresponsible for her to come back to entertainment while pregnant, the agency said that it was aware of Sunye’s pregnancy and proceeded with the contract regardless.

“The reason we couldn’t share this news in August was because we put the health of the baby first, and we ask for your understanding,” said the agency.

Sunye debuted as leader of Wonder Girls in 2007, left the group in 2013 after she met her current husband, and formally resigned from the entertainment industry in 2015. Wonder Girls disbanded last year.
