Mamamoo makes Japanese debut

Girl group Mamamoo officially released the Japanese version of their song “Decalcomanie” today.

The song’s release coincides with the group’s first-ever Japanese tour titled “Mamamoo 1st Concert Tour in Japan,” which kicks off in Osaka on Oct. 5. The tour continues to Tokyo on Oct. 7 and Nagoya on Oct. 9.

On Tuesday, the eve of their Japanese debut concert, Mamamoo met with their Japanese fans at Tower Records in Shibuya, Tokyo. The meet and greet was streamed live to viewers all over the world via Line Live. The highlight of the night was when GYAO - an online music program - debuted the full Japanese version of “Decalcomanie” and the corresponding music video.

The quartet made their Korean debut in June 2014 with “Mr. Ambiguous,” the lead single of its EP “Hello.” The group has had a slew of hits including “Piano Man,” (2014) “Um Oh Ah Yeh,” (2015) “You’re the Best,” (2016) “Decalcomanie” (2016) and “Yes I Am” (2017).
