Jasmine Lee takes to the airwaves

테스트

Former National Assembly Rep. Jasmine Lee may have stepped away from the political scene, but she’s not done with helping foreigners settle down in Korea.

Lee took the microphone of a new program called “10 Everyday” on English radio channel TBS eFM (101.3Mhz) and successfully finished the first episode of the program, which was broadcast Monday morning at 10 a.m.

The program is aimed at helping foreign residents in Korea get through their everyday lives by giving them day-to-day tips and teaching them the Korean language and culture.

“Thinking about the goal of the program, we couldn’t find anyone that’s better suited to the role than Jasmine Lee,” said a member of the production staff.

“I want to approach the listeners in a comfortable manner, like a next-door neighbor, using my 23 years of experience in Korea,” said Lee.

Lee, born in 1977 in the Philippines, became a naturalized Korean citizen in 1998 and the first-ever naturalized member of the National Assembly in 2012. The program will be broadcast everyday on the TBS radio channel and smartphone app at 10 a.m.
