Super Junior tops iTunes charts

Top boy band Super Junior is topping the iTunes Album charts with its latest special mini album entitled “One More Time,” which was released on Monday.

Immediately after its release, the album ranked No. 1 in the iTunes charts of 26 markets, including Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan.

The album is the group’s first Latin-pop album featuring five Latin-style tracks. In the lead track “One More Time (Otra Vez)” featuring the popular Mexican band Reik, Super Junior sings in both Korean and Spanish with Reik. The song also follows a Reggaeton rhythm, a popular Latin American hip-hop genre.

The group held a concert Monday evening at the MGM Cotai Theater in Macau and performed the lead track for the first time. At the concert, Leeteuk, the leader of the group, said that the concept of the new album was “sexiness.”

“Listeners will be able to feel the sexy vibe from our new Latin-pop album,” he said.

The concert was a comeback for member Ryeowook, who was discharged from his mandatory military service in July.
