2) According to police, a construction worker from Sri Lanka set off a sky lantern he found at a construction site near the storage facility at around 10:32 a.m.
3) The lantern landed 300 meters (984 feet) away on the lawn of the gas storage facility.
4) The police think the fire entered the gas tank through the ventilation system, triggering the explosion.
5) The worker being blamed for the fire is confirmed to be in Korea on an E-9 non-professional employment visa, and was working at the nearby construction site.
6) The fire, which started at around 10:56 a.m., was finally put out 17 hours later at 03:58 a.m. on Oct. 8th.
