[Sponsored Report] Samsung offers support after Sulawesi disaster

Samsung Electronics is donating $600,000 to help recovery efforts following an earthquake in Sulawesi, Indonesia, last September.

The funds will be sent to the Indonesian Red Cross Society and will be used for the recovery of damaged areas and victim support.

Samsung Electronics also plans to provide practical support to help victims overcome the disaster by operating the Samsung Care Center, which will provide food, beverages, laundry services, home appliance support and free repair services.

In July, Samsung Electronics donated $200,000 along with home appliance support and free repair services following an earthquake in Indonesia’s Lombok.

The most recent efforts are a continuation of the company’s long tradition of supporting recovery efforts in areas damaged by large-scale natural disasters.

Samsung Electronics also donated money and services in Sichuan, China, in 2008 and 2013, in Nepal in 2015 and in Mexico and Kerala, India, in 2017.
