K-Water invited the Asian Development Bank and about 50 officials from six South Asian countries to discuss water management issues in Asia.

The officials visited K-Water’s Integrated Water Resources Management Center for the Han River on Oct. 16, before heading into the field to visit water research centers including at K-Water’s headquarters in Daejeon and Daecheong Dam. Officials, which included representatives from Nepal and India, discussed opportunities to cooperate and form partnerships on water quality management projects.

Representatives from the Asian Development Bank also attended the event. The bank was established in 1966 with the aim of promoting economic growth and investment in the Asia-Pacific region, with 67 countries now participating. Its main business is lending to member countries and technical assistance, and Korea is one of eight permanent members.
