L’Escape Hotel

Nov. 8-9: Located on the top floor of the L’Escape Hotel, the contemporary restaurant L’Amant Secret will hold a collaboration gala dinner with the Australian restaurant Brae.

It will be part of the five-day food festival Seoul Gourmet 2018, which starts on Nov. 7, whose theme for the year is “Future Table that Saves the Planet.”

L’Amant Secret will run the gala dinner in collaboration with Australia’s most famous organic farm restaurant, Brae.

Dan Hunter, the owner and chef of Brae, which was listed on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2017, will come to Korea to cook.

Dan Hunter, often referred to as a pioneer of regenerative dishes, is well known for raising poultry in an organic way. He also runs the organic kitchen garden. He is well known for cooking in a natural way.

The nine-course gala dinner features Dan Hunter’s special offer of the “healing and health that food gives.”

The dinner will begin at 7 p.m. at the contemporary restaurant L’Amant Secret, located on the 26th floor of the hotel.

Reservations are limited up to 35 people a day on a first-come-first-serve basis. The price is 250,000 won ($220), including tax.

Seoul Gourmet, a popular food festival, started in 2010. It invites different international chefs each year.

Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas

To Dec. 31: Traditional American-style turkey can create a great home-dining experience during Thanksgiving and the year-end season, which is filled with parties. It will be available for takeout at Grand Deli, located on the first floor of Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong, from Oct. 22 until the end of the year. The turkeys offered by Grand Deli are prepared by professional hotel chefs and marinated in herbal salt water for a minimum of twelve hours before being coated with premium herbal butter and roasted in the oven at a low temperature. The dish can be packed as a gift upon request. It comes with roasted sausages, figs, corn, sweet potatoes, chestnuts and other side dishes along with giblet gravy and cranberry sauce.

Grand Deli also offers a variety of takeout dishes suitable for home parties, including Virginia-style smoked ham, roasted Mungyeong pork ribs and roasted Peking duck.

The dish is 230,000 won including tax for a 6-kilogram (13.2-pound) turkey and requires at least a 24-hour advance notice before pick up.
