iKon video hits 200 million views

The music video for boy band iKON’s hit song “Love Scenario” broke 200 million views on Thursday.

Yang Hyun-suk, the CEO of the group’s agency YG Entertainment, uploaded an image on social media featuring the septet, along with a title that read “200 million.”

“Love Scenario” was the lead track off of the group’s second album “Return” which was released in January. Since its release, the song has topped a number of streaming charts including Melon, iTunes and Genie Music, but the song was later banned at some elementary schools for its inappropriate content and for being too “addictive.” The song hit 100 million views in June.

iKON consists of the finalists from Mnet’s reality survival program “WIN: Who is Next.” The group debuted in 2015 with the studio album “Welcome Back.” The group has released three albums this year: “Return” in January, “New Kids: Continue” in August and “New Kids: The Final” in October.
