Bong Joon-ho to work with Neon

American film production company Neon has nabbed Korean director Bong Joon-ho’s film “Parasite,” which is set to be released next year, announced The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday.

This will be Bong’s fifth collaboration with Neon’s CEO Tom Quinn. Quinn, as the head distributor at film company Radius-TWC, has previously worked with Bong on the 2013 movie “Snowpiercer.”

“We’re very excited to partner with Tom Quinn and the team at Neon. It’s like reuniting a great team of old friends,” Bong said in a statement to the American magazine.

The film “Parasite” tells the story of Ki-taek, played by actor Song Kang-ho, who gets entangled in a strange incident after he meets the Park family.

This movie will be Bong’s fourth collaboration with actor Song, who has starred in Bong’s previous movies “Memories of Murder” (2003), “The Host” (2006) and “Snowpiercer” (2013).

Actors Lee Sun-gyun, Cho Yeo-jeong and Choi Woo-shik will also star in the upcoming movie.
