Hyolyn to sing new song at show

Singer Hyolyn of the now disbanded girl group Sistar will unveil a new song at her first solo concert later this month.

“Hyolyn will present her new single at her first solo concert which will be held on Nov. 10,” her agency brid3 announced on Friday.

American singer-songwriter Melanie Fontana, who has taken part in writing popular songs for BTS, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears and The Chainsmokers, has teamed up with Hyolyn for the upcoming song.

The song, backed with a trendy melody, will feature Hyolyn’s personal stories.

The singer debuted in 2010 with the group Sistar with the album “Push Push.” The group was known as the “Queens of Summer” for their summertime hits “Loving U” (2012), “Touch My Body” (2014) and “Shake It” (2015).

The group, however, disbanded last year, and each member is now pursuing her own career as a singer or an actor.

Hyolyn’s first solo concert “True” will be held on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. at YES 24 Live Hall in eastern Seoul.
