EXID, together again, to drop album

All five members of the girl group EXID - including Solji who has been on hiatus for two years - are returning with a new album this month, their agency Banana Culture Entertainment announced on Monday.

“The upcoming album will be unique to EXID’s style and will also mark Solji’s return,” the agency said in a statement.

Solji, the leader of the group, has been laying low since December 2016, after she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. However, she made a surprise appearance on MBC’s singing competition program “The King of Mask Singer” last month and even won five consecutive victories on the show.

Meanwhile, the group’s four other members have continued performing as a group.

EXID debuted in 2012 with the single “Whoz That Girl” and rose to stardom with a slew of hit songs - “Up & Down,” “Ah Yeah” and “Hot Pink” - in 2015. This April, the four-member group released the single “Lady.”
