Lee Jong-suk wraps Asian fan tour

Actor Lee Jong-suk has successfully finished a monthlong Asian tour to meet some 21,000 international fans, his talent agency said on Tuesday.

He visited the Araneta Coliseum in Manila on Sunday evening, local time, as part of his “Crank Up” fan meet-up tour that included visits to Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia.

Lee, who has a large following in the Philippines due to the popularity of the ongoing Korean TV show “While You Were Sleeping,” received an enthusiastic welcome in the country, according to A-Man Project.

The visit came weeks after the Korean star was held back for two days in Jakarta due to inept scheduling by organizers of the meet-up event there. He, however, pressed ahead with the event in Manila in order to not disappoint his fans there.

“I wonder why it took so long for me to come here. It’s great that the Philippines is the last (stop of the tour), and I think I’ll be able to return home with a good memory (about the country),” Lee told the fans attending the event. Yonhap
