Iron’s sentence remains the same

Rapper Iron has been sentenced to eight months in prison with two years of a suspended sentence and 80 hours of community service by the Seoul Central District Court in his appeal trial on Thursday for assaulting his ex-girlfriend back in 2016.

In September 2016, the rapper allegedly hit his ex-girlfriend’s face after she refused his demands during sexual intercourse at his home.

The following month, he reportedly choked her and hit her again when she asked him to break up. He had also threatened her by stabbing himself in the thigh, saying that he would blame her for the injury were she to have called the police.

In July 2017, he was sentenced to eight months in prison with two years of a suspended sentence and 80 hours of community service during his first trial for sexually assaulting and causing physical injury to the ex-girlfriend.

The rapper was also previously sentenced to eight months in prison with two years of a suspended sentence in November 2016 for smoking marijuana.
