: The Westin Chosun Seoul will broadcast the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra’s New Year’s Concert 2019. Guests can enjoy the live-broadcast concert after having dinner at an on-site restaurant. Seats for the concert are available in five rows. The price for tickets covering the concert, dinner and paring drinks starts at 260,000 won ($232), including tax and service charge.

The Westin Chosun Seoul has broadcast the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra’s New Year’s Concert since 2014. Due to strong support of the event, the live broadcast has become an annual tradition at the hotel. Many guests have made the first day of the new year even more special with classical music and a dining experience at The Westin Chosun Seoul.

To meet guest needs better, the hotel prepares various seating types and dining options. Guests can choose seats from rows N, R, P, C and S. Those sitting in row N can enjoy omakase dining at Sushi Cho, while those who select seats in row R can enjoy a dinner at Sushi Cho. If guests choose seats in row P, they can have dinner either at The Ninth Gate or Hong Yuan. Guests sitting in row C can appreciate champagne or whiskey at the Lounge & Bar. Guests with seats in row S dine at the Banquet Hall.

Rated as one of the top three symphony orchestras, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra dates back to 1842, making it the oldest symphony in the world. Its 2019 New Year’s Concert will be led by Christian Thielemann, who has conducted at the Bayreuth Festival and the Salzburg Festival. He often stands in as guest conductor at the Vienna National Opera.

The hotel has invited Cha Jin-yeob, a modern choreographer, to provide a lecture in order to help guests understand and enjoy the concert to the fullest. This year, Cha, who choreographed the opening and closing ceremonies of 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, will showcase a performance to go with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra’s broadcast.

: Park Hyatt Busan’s restaurants are running promotions for the Christmas and year-end holidays featuring beautiful views of Haeundae and the city.

The Dining Room, the hotel’s grill and sushi restaurant, will host a “Festive Brunch” and a “Festive Dinner Buffet.” The Dining Room offers a wide range of specialty drinks as well as main dishes, including roasted turkey, grilled beef sirloin and grilled Korean rainbow trout, along with a variety of colorful Christmas desserts and unlimited soft drinks. The premium buffet also offers unlimited wine and draft beer.

Modern French restaurant Living Room is presenting its “Festive Four-Course Lunch” and “Festive Six-Course Dinner,” which both use seasonal ingredients. Starting with amuse-bouches, sauteed scallops or confit duck crepes are provided in turn. While the lunch course menu includes sweet pumpkin soup to follow, the dinner menu includes poached lobster. A number of main dishes can be selected, including turkey breast, grilled Korean beef or local sea bass. In addition, Park Hyatt Busan’s sommelier, Bak Min-wook, will present a selection of wines.

The festive promotional meals are available through advance reservations. The Dining Room’s festive brunch is located on the 32nd floor, is available on Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1, and starts at 100,000 won ($89)per person. The festive dinner buffet will be offered from Dec. 21 to Jan. 1 and starts at 95,000 won per person. However, on Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1, the dinner buffet starts at 160,000 won per person. The Living Room’s festive lunch course menu is available on Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1, and starts at 65,000 won per person. The festive dinner course menu will be available on Dec. 24, 25 and 31 and starts at 160,000 won.
