Hwang Chi-yeul to drop album #2

Singer Hwang Chi-yeul will release an album for the first time in 12 years, announced HOW Entertainment on Wednesday.

The album will be his first release since his debut album “Five Senses” (translated) was released in 2007.

It wasn’t until he was featured on the fourth season of the Chinese version of “I Am a Singer” in 2015 that his talents began to be recognized by the public.

Hwang then became the best selling solo artist in the first half of 2017, according to the nation’s largest album sales tracker Hanteo Chart, and his April single “Be Myself” and November release “Learn to Love” both received praise from fans.

Hwang’s second album, the title of which has yet to be revealed, will become available on Jan. 21, said the agency.
