Grand Hyatt Seoul

Through Feb. 28: The hotel’s spectacular outdoor pool began its annual transformation into a winter ice skating center in late November and is now ready to greet a new season of winter skaters. Located on the Garden Level of the hotel, the rink is one of the city’s most popular tourist spots for winter leisure activities. The Outdoor Ice Rink, surrounded by the wintry landscape of Mount Namsan, offers winter adventures filled with festive fun and spectacular city views. Now celebrating its 22nd winter season, the rink accommodates up to 150 skaters, and is open daily throughout the season. A welcome array of warm delights, including hot chocolate, soups and treats, are available at the rink side snack bar to keep you toasty as you skate.

The skating season is filled with amazing promotions to enhance your winter skating experience. “Propose on Ice” is a special proposal ceremony prepared by the event magicians at Grand Hyatt Seoul. After daily operations at the ice rink ends, it is transformed into a romantic stage, with a special table set up with wine and cake. The rink’s dramatic lighting, sound effects and a custom bouquet from the hotel’s florist all come together to make this ceremony one of life’s most unforgettable moments.

The ice rink is open from 12 to 9 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Entrance fee is 27,000 won ($24)per person on Mondays through Thursdays and 33,000 won on Friday through Sundays and holidays. One ticket allows visitors to skate for two hours. Skate rentals are available for 21,000 won. All prices include 10 percent tax.
