테스트

Singer Shoo from the disbanded girl group S.E.S. admitted in court she gambled overseas beginning in 2016.

At a trial held Thursday, prosecutors asked the singer whether she admitted to all charges of gambling against her: she replied “yes.”

Last month, Shoo was indicted for gambling 26 times in various locations, including Macau in China, from August 2016 to May 2018 and spending a total of 790 million won ($699,628).

According to Korean law, gambling is punishable by up to 10 million won in fines, and habitual gambling is punishable by up to three years in prison or a 20 million won fine.

After the trial, Shoo told the press, “I’m sorry for causing trouble.”

A second trial will be held on Feb. 7.
