Daegu FC re-signs both of its Brazilian forwards

The reigning KFA Cup champions, Daegu FC, said Tuesday it has re-signed its two Brazilian forwards.

The K League 1 club said it’s reached agreements with Cesar Fernando Silva Melo and Edgar Bruno da Silva for the 2019 season.

Cesar Fernando Silva Melo, known as Cesinha, was the top scorer and the MVP of the 2018 FA Cup, thanks to five goals and two assists.

In the K League 1, Cesinha was the top assist maker last year with 11. He also scored eight goals.

Edgar Bruno da Silva, known simply as Edgar, posted eight goals and three assists in the K League 1. He also helped in Daegu’s FA Cup victory with three goals and an assist.

Daegu, led by Brazilian head coach Andre Luiz Alves Santos, finished seventh in the K League 1, but earned a spot at the 2019 AFC Champions League as the FA Cup champions.
