Blackpink to appear on U.S. TV

Global K-pop sensation Blackpink will be making an appearance on ABC’s news show “Good Morning America.”

ABC announced Tuesday that the group will perform live in their studio in Times Square in New York on Feb. 12. The group will then appear on the daytime talk show “Strahan and Sara” hosted by Sara Haines and Michael Strahan on Feb. 15.

After the four-member group signed a contract with Interscope Records, a major music label under Universal Music Group in the United States in October last year, YG Entertainment announced the group would be making inroads into the North American music industry.

Blackpink is also invited to Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, one of the country’s hottest annual festivals, this year, which will take place from April 12 to 21 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif.

The group is currently on a world tour, which kicked off last November in Seoul. After concerts in Singapore and Malaysia this month and Taipei, Taiwan, next month, the group will head to North America, Europe and Australia.
