Police nab suspect behind rumors
YG Entertainment announced Wednesday that a woman who had spread false rumors about an inappropriate relationship between the agency’s CEO Yang Hyun-suk and Blackpink’s member Jennie has been caught.“The person who first spread the false, groundless rumors about our agency’s artists turned out to be a woman in her early 20s, and she was recently sent to the prosecutors,” the agency said through a press statement.
Since early last year, YG Entertainment has taken legal action against people spreading false rumors against the agency’s artists. After rumors spread online about a relationship between Yang and Jennie, Yang quickly filed a defamation lawsuit last October.
