‘Immortal Song’ heading to Japan

KBS2’s singing competition program “Immortal Song: Singing the Legend” will hold a special concert in Japan celebrating its 400th episode.

“The show will be heading to Japan to promote cultural exchange between Korea and Japan,” KBS announced Friday.

The program, which first aired in 2011, features Korean singers, from K-pop idol group members to ballad singers, who perform reinterpreted versions of famous Korean songs.

The filming of the 400th episode will take place on April 4 in two parts. The first part will feature popular singer Kim Yon-ja, who is known for her trot song “Amor Fati” (2013), and other artists including ballad singer Jung Dong-ha and K-pop groups IZ*ONE and Pentagon. The second part will be attended by singers ALi, Gummy, NCT Dream and JBJ95.
