KHNP looks to Turkey as land of opportunities

The state-run Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) on Wednesday vowed to penetrate deeper into the Turkish market for nuclear plant equipment along with 22 small- and medium-sized firms.

KHNP said its export affiliate, Korea Nuclear Partners, organized a delegation to participate in the International Nuclear Power Plants Summit 2019 in Turkey.

The country is a strategically important market in the energy industry as it is located between Europe, Asia and Russia, the power company said.

Participating companies are anticipated to meet an average of 10 business partners throughout the event, as they seek to expand export markets.

They will also meet officials from Turkey’s engineering, procurement, and construction firms, KHNP added.
