Pentagon to release EP this month

Boy band Pentagon will be releasing a new EP on March 27, their agency Cube Entertainment said on Friday.

Their eighth EP “Genie:us” will be released on March 27. It is their first release this year. The group’s seventh EP came out in September 2018.

Pentagon, who debuted in December 2016, had success last year with their song “Shine.”

Their 2018 song “Naughty Boy” was also popular for its child-like lyrics that recalled a well-known children’s chant.

The group also recently made their Japanese debut last month with “Cosmo.”

This is the group’s first release since its former member E’Dawn quit the group and ended his contract with the agency in November after going public about his relationship with his girlfriend, singer HyunA.

The two, who were both members of Cube Entertainment, recently joined a new agency founded by K-pop megastar Psy called PNation in January.
