KBS puts ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ on hold

KBS variety show “2 Days & 1 Night” will go on hiatus, the channel announced on Friday.

The show said earlier in the week that they would be editing out parts of the show featuring former cast member Jung Joon-young - the singer who allegedly recorded videos of himself having sex with women without their consent.

On Friday, the network announced that they realized editing him out of the show would not be enough.

“We decided to reorganize the whole program after realizing the gravity of the situation,” said KBS.

“We apologize for failing to properly manage the participating [stars] at KBS, and we will be coming up with measures to make sure that the same problems do not arise in the future.”

A different program will air Sunday evenings beginning this weekend.
