The Sogyeok-dong neighborhood between Gyeongbok Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village is home to the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and Seoul’s top art galleries. Those in the know combine art excursions with a bowl of ox bone kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) at this centrally located standby. A little bit of beef, green pepper, zucchini, oyster, mushroom and scallions are peppered on top. The broth is sweet and clean, but chili sauce is offered.
