Girl’s Day members pivot to acting

The members of Girl’s Day are ready to begin another chapter in their career as actors, as their contract with DreamT Entertainment ended this winter and they embark on their own journeys.

News came on Friday that Minah of Girl’s Day has signed a contract with Yooborn Company, signaling her transition to focusing on acting.

“We signed an exclusive contract with singer and actor Minah,” the agency said. “We will be giving her all our support so that she may pursue a career in diverse fields, including acting and singing.”

Having debuted as a member of Girl’s Day in 2010, Minah - whose full name is Bang Min-ah - has shown off her impressive vocal skills over the years, and has recently begun a career in acting.

Two other members of the group also signed with new agencies that specialize in managing actors earlier in March.

Sojin signed with Noon Company on March 19 and will now be working as Park So-jin.

Yura followed the next day, announcing that she signed an exclusive contract with Awesome ENT.

And although she hasn’t announced anything yet, Hyeri is also expected to sign with an agency that will allow her to focus on acting. She has already appeared in multiple works including the drama “Reply 1988” (2015) and the movie “Monstrum” (2018).
