Blackpink’s latest vid break records

K-pop phenomenon Blackpink set a record for the fastest music video to reach 100 million views on YouTube, the group’s management company announced Sunday.

YG Entertainment said the video for the group’s latest single, “Kill This Love,” surpassed 100 million hits around 2 p.m. Sunday, just two days and 14 hours after its release.

The video, released at midnight Friday, attracted more than 10 million views in just four hours and 13 minutes, setting a new record for a Korean artist. It was ahead of the pace set by the group’s international breakthrough, “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,” which had over 740 million views on YouTube as of 3:40 p.m. Sunday.

YG said Blackpink now boasts 13 music videos and dance clips with more than 100 YouTube views.

“Kill This Love” has topped iTunes charts in 37 countries and reached No. 4 on Spotify’s Global Top 50.
