Nestle Korea to launch Starbucks coffee capsules

Nestle Korea released a new line of coffee capsules in collaboration with Starbucks today.

Under the title Starbucks at Home, Swiss-based Nestle unveiled 16 different coffee pods that hold Starbucks coffees with tastes ranging from Americano to cappuccino and caramel macchiato.

These capsules are only compatible with Nestle’s Nescafe Dolce Gusto and Nespresso machines.

“Korea is one of the first markets [for Nestle] to launch Starbucks at Home,” said Karsten Kuhme, market head for Korea at Nestle Korea. He pointed at the growing trend of “home cafe.” Home cafe refers to the culture of making coffee at home.

The new items will be available at department stores, premium supermarkets and selected e-commerce stores.
