Nu’est to make a return on April 29

Boy band Nu’est is set to debut new music on April 29, three years since its last release as a group.

According to Pledis Entertainment, the five-member act will drop its sixth EP titled “Happily Ever After” on Monday.

Group member Minhyun spent a year and a half as a member of project boy band Wanna One beginning in the summer of 2017.

The group’s four other members - JR, Aron, Baekho and Ren - awaited his return, instead performing under the name Nu’est W - the W in the name stands for “waiting.”

The group made its debut in 2012, but failed to gain much recognition until it appeared on cable channel Mnet’s audition program “Produce 101” in 2017. The other members of the group failed to make the final cut of the 11-member act Wanna One.

The complete quintet Nu’est first shared the news on Sunday while wrapping up its concert series titled “Segno,” held Friday through Sunday at the KSPO Dome in Olympic Park, southern Seoul.

Around 36,000 fans attended the concerts over the course of three days.

It was the first time in six years that all five members of the group held their own concert for fans.
