Blackpink adds Japan dates to tour

Girl group Blackpink will perform at three of Japan’s biggest domes for the first time since their debut, YG Entertainment announced on Tuesday.

According to the agency, the four-member act will hold concerts in Japan starting late this year. There will be one show at the Tokyo Dome on Dec. 4, two shows at Osaka’s Kyocera Dome on Jan. 4 and 5, and a final show at the Fukuoka Yahuoku! Dome.

This will be the group’s second Japanese tour, and their first dome tour. The three domes can house some 200,000 fans in total.

Blackpink became the first foreign girl group to perform at the Kyocera Dome when they held their final show of their Japanese tour there in 2018.

The group recently released the song “Kill This Love” on April 5, topping iTunes song charts in 37 regions worldwide. The song is currently sitting at No. 33 on Britain’s Official singles chart, the highest ever for the group.

The song also currently sits on No. 11 of Spotify’s global top 50 chart.

The three new stops expand Blackpink’s world tour, set to take place in 22 cities and kicking off in Los Angeles today.

Tomorrow, the girls will appear on the CBS talk show, “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” The group will stage their second performance at the Coachella music festival on Friday.
