Ottogi has released the new Seaweed with Vinegar Bibim Ramen and Wasabi Jinjja Jjolmyeon for the 2019 summer season.

Thanks to the popularity of the Beef and Seaweed Soup Ramen that was launched last September, Ottogi has begun to develop a second series of seaweed soup instant noodles. The new Seaweed with Vinegar Bibim Ramen features wide and thick seaweed with a spicy noodle soup.

It is a product filled with a secret sauce that uses spicy red chili pepper paste with vinegar and fresh seaweed from the southern coast of Korea. The rice flour noodles provide a chewy texture and it contains large pieces of seaweed and seaweed soup concentrate. Noodles mixed with sun-dried red chili pepper paste sauce, vinegar, lemon and sesame oil will tempt consumers’ taste buds in the summer. This special product celebrates Ottogi’s 50th anniversary.

The Wasabi Jinjja Jjolmyeon has the piquant taste of wasabi and Ottogi’s Jinjja Jjolmyeon, which led the jjolmyeon instant noodle market. It was developed because many younger people enjoy jjolmyeon with wasabi. The chewy texture of jjolmyeon noodles with the spicy red chili special sauce and pungent wasabi is unique.

“The seasonal market has expanded recently, and a variety of new products are on the current market,” said an Ottogi official. “Ottogi is planning to expand its market along with the launch of new summer products through various social media methods, such as Instagram and Facebook.”
