Doosan Infracore partners with Palantir for big data

Doosan Infracore, a construction equipment maker, said Monday that it partnered with the Silicon Valley-based big data unicorn start-up Palantir to accelerate its digital transformation.

Palantir was the fifth-highest-valued start-up at $20.5 billion in 2018 according to business magazine Inc, after Uber, Airbnb, SpaceX and WeWork. Palantir provides big data analysis platforms for organizations in diverse areas. “Unicorn” refers to a start-up valued at more than $1 billion.

“We are continuously searching for new business opportunities by working with Silicon Valley start-ups,” said a spokesperson for Doosan Infracore in a statement. “Partnership with Palantir will allow Doosan Infracore to lead the way and be the best in the digital transformation of the construction equipment industry.”

Through the partnership, Palantir will help Doosan Infracore develop a big data platform to optimize business operation and accelerate its decision making process.
