‘Run Devil Run’ reaches new heights

Girl group Girls’ Generation’s music video for “Run Devil Run” (2010) surpassed 100 million views on Monday, according to the group’s agency SM Entertainment.

According to the agency, the music video has hit the 100-million-view mark nine years after it was uploaded through its official YouTube channel in March 2010.

The group now has nine videos that have been viewed over 100 million times, three of which have been watched over 200 million times - “I Got a Boy” (2013), “The Boys” (2011) and “Gee” (2009).

“Run Devil Run” was the title track off of the group’s second full-length album that swept local music charts in 2010.

“It’s proof of their power as a legendary K-pop girl group,” the agency said.

The girl group debuted in 2007 and released their most recent album, “Holiday,” in 2017. Since then, each member has been pursuing her own career path.
