Blackpink album stays on Billboard

Korean girl group Blackpink has remained on the two main Billboard charts for the third consecutive week with their most recent album, according to the latest charts.

With the feat, Blackpink has become the first K-pop girl group to simultaneously appear on both the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 for the third week in a row, the charts released Monday showed.

The group’s new album, titled “Kill This Love,” and its title track ranked 129th on the Billboard 200 and 86th on the Hot 100, respectively.

The album and the song debuted at 41st and 24th on the charts upon its release on April 5 and ranked 73rd and 93rd last week.

After releasing its new albums, Blackpink performed at the Coachella music festival in the United States and met with local fans by appearing on the “Late Late Show with James Corden” on CBS, the Los Angeles radio program “JoJo On the Radio” and other shows as well.

The girl group is currently on tour in North America, and is set to perform in Newark on Wednesday and Thursday, Atlanta on Sunday and Fort Worth next Wednesday and May 9.
