Couple donates 45 million won

Celebrity couple singer Sean and actor Jung Hye-young hosted the charity sale “Made In Heaven” on Tuesday and donated all the profits made through the sale - 45 million won ($38,000) - to Compassion Korea on Wednesday.

The sale offered some of the couple’s own possessions in addition to personal items from big-name K-pop groups and actors.

Sean entertained those in attendance with some of his songs and games he had prepared. The couple hosted two other charity sales last May and September, donating the over 100 million won that they earned to a local charity.

The couple kicked off their “Made in Heaven” event series last year to celebrate the couple’s 10th year of supporting 100 children in need.

Compassion Korea is a part of the international child care organization Compassion, which supports children living in poverty in 25 countries until they are able to take care of themselves.

The Korean organization was established in 2003 to return the help the country received from the world during the early half of the 20th century.
