Ha’s art on display in LG kitchen

There’s a new spot in town where you can go and see actor Ha Jung-woo’s artwork: LG Electronics’ Signature Kitchen Suite showroom in southern Seoul.

LG Electronics kicked off a three-week exhibition of some 20 paintings created by the actor on Tuesday at an event where some 300 people were invited to celebrate the second anniversary of Signature Kitchen’s opening.

The ceremony featured actor Ha, chefs Austin Kang and Lee Jae-hoon, as well as a congratulatory performance by a jazz band.

According to LG Electronics, Ha created the new works on the theme of “My Life Kitchen: 3E,” the 3E meaning “Equator,” “Environment” and “Ensemble.”

The main piece on display is a colorful profile of a person’s face, titled “My Signature.”

The exotic colors were inspired by the bright landscape of Hawaii and the abstract patterns make up a person’s face that ultimately sits “in harmony with the goals of Signature Kitchen Suite,” according to LG Electronics.

“The Signature Kitchen Suite will set a new landmark in the field of luxury household home appliances, with its unique design and high performance,” LG said.

Ha started his artistic career in 2004 while working his busy schedule as an actor, and opened his first solo exhibition in 2010.
