Exo schedules concerts for July

Boy band Exo will hold a series of six concerts in July, SM Entertainment announced Thursday.

Exo will hold its fifth solo concert series, titled “EXO PLANET #5 - EXplOration,” at the KSPO Dome for six days from July 19 to 21 and from July 26 to 28.

“The concert will be filled with abundant music and powerful performances like never seen before,” the agency said.

The concert will feature the latest songs released by the band, including tracks from its last full-length album, “Don’t Mess Up My Tempo,” as well as the repackaged version of that album that it dropped last December, titled “Love Shot.”

Tickets will be available to members of the group’s official fan club on June 4 at 8 p.m. on ticket seller Yes24’s website. Tickets for the general public start sales on June 11 at 8 p.m.

D.O. and Xiumin will not participate in the concerts because they are in the Army.

Meanwhile, the music video for Exo’s hit song “Growl” (2013) surpassed 200 million views on YouTube on Wednesday, making it the band’s fourth video to have hit the 200-million-view mark.

The video for “Growl” was uploaded on July 31, 2013, prior to the release of the band’s first full-length album, “XOXO (Kiss&Hug).”

The other three videos that have been viewed over 200 million times are “Call Me Baby” (2015), “Monster” (2016) and “Ko Ko Bop” (2017). Six of the group’s videos have been viewed over 100 million times.
