Queen exhibit comes to Seoul

“Bohemian Rhapsody: The Queen Exhibition” will kick off its world-tour exhibition series in Seoul in July as its first location, Queen Productions Ltd. said on Monday.

According to Queen Productions, rock band Queen’s official management agency, the special exhibition will open on July 7 at central Seoul’s Ara Art Center, and will run for three months through Oct. 6.

“This exhibition has been put together to celebrate the 48th year since the legendary rock band Queen has come together and the 46th anniversary of their debut,” the organizer said.

“It will feature special items that belonged to Queen and Freddie Mercury that had not been revealed in Korea before, as well as exhibits that will allow the visitors to relive the fulfilling sensation of the ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ movie.”

The exhibition will feature plenty of Queen-related items, including the members’ own items and six contemporary art pieces that offer artists’ own interpretations of the hit movie that stormed global box offices.

“I am delighted that our first official ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ exhibition will take place in Seoul for Korean fans who took the film and band to their hearts so enthusiastically, and hope Korea enjoys revisiting the film and discovering more about Freddie Mercury and Queen through the displays and specially created art works,” said Jim Beach, the head of Queen Production.
