July 09,2019
World No. 1 Park Sung-hyun was hoping to win it for a second straight week but struggled on the final day, finishing tied for sixth at the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic in Wisconsin on Sunday.

Park, who started the final round as co-leader, made four birdies and a bogey to shoot three under par, 69, to finish the tournament at 23 under par.

Feng Shanshan shot an impressive nine under par, 63, on the final round to win the tournament one shot ahead of Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand.

Although Park started the final day of the tournament as the most likely Korean golfer to win, it was Amy Yang that had the best finish among the Korean golfers. Yang shot seven under par, 65, to finish third at 25 under par. Followed by Yang, Kim Hyo-joo was the next best finisher among the Korean golfers at fifth with 24 under par for the week.

Kim shot eight under par, 64, on Sunday to make her way up the leaderboard.

The LPGA Tour will continue its season at the Marathon Classic presented by Dana Sylvania in Ohio, starting from Thursday to July 14.
