Merck Korea appoints new head of biopharma division
Merck Korea announced Monday that Javed Alam was appointed as general manager of its biopharma division on July 1.The company has three business divisions: biopharma, life science and performance materials.
Before joining the Korean subsidiary, Alam served as the managing director and general manager of Merck Biopharma Vietnam Cluster, based in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Merck Korea, he has 21 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry working at Novartis, MSD and Sanofi Aventis before joining Merck in 2014.
