A scene at the Can Crush Challenge campaign, aimed at recycling aluminum cans, held at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome in western Seoul on Saturday. At sixth from left is Sripriya Ranganathan, ambassador of India to Korea. At the Saturday event, participants crushed cans and threw them as a performance to promote the correct way of recycling.
Jointly conducted by Seoul Facilities Corporation and Novelis, the world leader in rolled aluminum products and beverage can recycling, the campaign will run through September. Funds will be donated for every social media post tagged #CanCrushChallenge during that month to encourage people to collect recyclable trash. [PARK SANG-MOON]
