Shawn Mendes is coming to Seoul

Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes will be performing in Seoul for the first time in September, concert organizer AIM said on Tuesday.

Mendes, who has topped the charts ever since his debut in 2014, will be performing at the Gymnastics Arena in Olympic Park, southern Seoul, at 8 p.m. on Sept. 25.

This show is part of his world tour, which he began in March in Britain to celebrate the release of his 2018 album, “Shawn Mendes.”

He is performing over 100 concerts over the course of his tour, with stops in Europe, the United States, Asia and Australia.

Seoul will be the first stop on the Asian leg of the tour, after which he will fly off to nine other cities, including Shanghai, Bangkok, Singapore and Macao.

In 2015, Mendes became the youngest singer to have their debut full-length album “Handwritten” (2015) top Billboard’s album chart.

His two albums that followed, “Illuminate” (2016) and “Shawn Mendes,” also topped the albums chart, and Mendes was featured on Time’s Most Influential Teens list for four years straight.
