Mountains of macarons
Models pose with macarons on promotion Thursday at the Wolgye branch of Emart Traders in northern Seoul. Emart is selling a 540-gram package of 20 macarons in five flavors at a relatively low price of 18,980 won ($15.60). Emart Traders and Shinsegae Foods explained that despite their popularity among local consumers, macarons typically came with high price tags so they made a more affordable product with the most popular flavors.
