Hyundai Steel has opened a steel experience center at Kidzania Seoul, a role-playing theme park in southern Seoul, where children can learn the functions and importance of steel in our daily lives.

Hyundai Steel’s new center is designed to help children understand steel products, which are core materials for buildings and automobiles, and explore the roles of steel researchers who develop and test new materials such as seismic steel.

Children who visit the research institute can learn steel production principles and experience H Solution, which is an essential service that makes the best quality steel sheets for producing safe cars. They are also given opportunities to make seismic building structure models and conduct seismic tests through the H Core program.

At Kidzania Seoul, children can see and touch raw materials like iron ore and coal and crucial automobile components. The 3-D image earthquake simulation that is combined with projection mapping technology is the first experience in the Kidzania exhibition.

“We have staged a program of steel research using cutting-edge technology such as projection mapping to offer easy access to children who are unfamiliar with the steel industry,” said an official from Hyundai Steel. “We hope that this experience can give children a great opportunity to understand various steel materials that are used to make the world safer.”

Meanwhile, Hyundai Steel launched its seismic steel brand H Core through a brand contest in 2017. The company is spreading its outstanding technology and safety value of steel products by introducing the automobile solution brand H Solution.
